Specifications for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini have been “leaked” on the web.

The miniature version of Samsung’s flagship smartphone resembles the main version, down to the perforated pattern on the back panel, according to photos found on SamMobile

However, while there is a rubber gasket attached to the inside of the back cover, unlike the main Galaxy S5, the USB port has no cover, meaning that the S5 Mini might not get the IP67 certification for being dust and water-proof.

The phone supposedly comes with a 4.5-inch 720p Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, a yet-to-be-announced Samsung Exynos 3 Quad (Exynos 3470) SoC with a clock speed of 1.4GHz, a Quad-core Mali-400 MP4 GPU clocked at 450MHz, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage and an 8 megapixel main camera shooter and 2.1 megapixel front facing camera. The fingerprint scanner and the heart-rate sensor has also been retained.

Some of the phone’s connectivity options include LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, IR Blaster, NFC, GPS with A-GPS support and GLONASS, and a MicroUSB port.

The Galaxy S5 Mini should run the Android KitKat 4.4.2 with Samsung’s latest TouchWiz UX interface, and will also have the main S5’s Ultra Power Saving Mode and Private Mode, among other features.

SamMobile has suggested that Samsung might launch the Galaxy S5 Mini along with the Galaxy Tab S during Galaxy Premiere Event 2014, which is set for Thursday, June 12, at Madison Square Garden, New York City.
