Are the specs for Samsung’s upcoming series of smartphone out?

Samsung is intending to expand on the Galaxy Alpha with an “A” series of fashion themed phones.

At least three phones, model numbers SM-A300, SM-A500, and SM-A700, have been planed.

The phones will all feature a metal construction like the Galaxy Alpha, QHD displays, have better front cameras than what the current Samsung devices, and will run on some version of Android 4.4. KitKat.

Samsung firmware and hardware rumors website SamMobile has dug up a GFXBench benchmark of the SM-A500.

The benchmark reveals that the phone is a solid mid-range product, with a 4.8-inch HD display, a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, a 12 mega-pixel rear camera, 4.7 mega-pixel front camera, and run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

Samsung has yet to release any information on the upcoming “A” series of phones.

The Galaxy Alpha is slated for a September 12 launch in the United Kingdom, so expect Samsung to announce more details about these new “A Series” devices after that date.
