The 6th Annual 2015 Digital Book World Conference and Expo (DBW15) was held at the New York Hilton Midtown, New York, January 13 - 15, 2015. Produced by F+W, A Content + eCommerce Company, DBW presents the latest innovations in digital content and digital publishing technology from workshops to fast track training to seminars to roundtable discussions to special events to exhibitors show floor to awards ceremony and gala receptions.

This year’s DBW keynote presentations and workshops included K-12 Market, Technology and Transforming the Publishing Business, with Linda Zecher, president/CEO, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt; Publishing and Other Media in a World of Engineers, author Ken Auletta, Googled: The End of the World As We Know It, media columnist, The New Yorker; and How Ed Tech is Changing the Educational Content Landscape, with Matt Greenfield, managing partner, Rethink Education.

DBW 2015 Fourth Annual Launch Kids celebrated the best in educational technologies for 21st century learners that are creative, interactive and personalized by Amplify, Google, I See Me, Kickstarter, Paper Lantern Lit, Alloy, Wattpad, and Big Bang Press. Discussions included digital storytelling, eBook subscriptions and K-12 book marketing strategies. DBW15 Digital Publishing Tech Training, a two day fast track session covered essential design and editing practices in content production and digital delivery using Adobe DPS, Apple iBooks, ePub, Podcast and Wordpress.

 

Maria Esteves pursued her passion as a photographer and writer in the arts in the aftermath of 9/11. It has led to cover interviews, awards ceremonies, film reviews, celebrity photos and videos in fashion, film, music and technology. This native New Yorker has spoken with Award-winning recording artists such as Randy Jones to filmmakers like Greg Pak and Todd Haynes, Academy Award-winners Murray Lerner, to fashion designer Mara Hoffman, and actresses such as Celia Weston.
