A bomb threat was made to the Haley Center in Auburn University, prompting an evacuation.
According to the AU Alert Twitter feed at around 11:45 a.m. ET, the building was being evacuated.
Surrounding buildings are affected.
The school urged students and others to avoid the area until further notice.
“Bomb threat reported to Haley Center. Bldg being evacuated. Surrounding buildings not affected. Avoid Haley Center until further notice,” the feed said.
It’s unclear if the bomb threat was phoned in or e-mailed.
The bomb squad is on the scene, according to images posted to Twitter.
