The Arrow 2 season finale date is approaching--May 14--and there’s going to be a lot of action in it.
The finale title line says that Oliver must decide once and for all if he’s a killer or a hero, as Slade moves forward with his plan to kill one more person in Oliver’s life--kidnapping them.
When that kidnapping happens, Oliver--despite fighting to be more than the killer he once was--is pushed to the edge, “and realizes sometimes it takes doing the unthinkable to stop the monster,” according to the official description.
Meanwhile, Diggle takes on Amanda Waller (guest star Cynthia Addai-Robinson) with a little help from some friends, and Thea turns to Roy in her time of need.
Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told TVLine that there’s a funeral in one of the episodes before the finale.
He also said that the episode before the finale “almost plays out in real time, 24-style over a short span of time. ”
“That one really is a roller coaster,” he said.
As for Slade’s target referenced above, Kreisberg said that the target “will come as a big surprise to everyone.”
And the season finale required a return to The Watchmen’s sprawling set.
“There may have been a lot of what seemed like detours this season, but it all plays out in the last few episodes,” Kreisberg said. “Hopefully, everyone will see the method to our madness and find the finale to be an exciting culmination of the season, as opposed to just a great episode.”
The CW show has already been renewed for a season 3 due to strong ratings.
