Professors and Colleagues in My Research Lab

Similar to my uncle who is a research director, there is a professor who also thought The Nine Commentaries on the Chinese Communist Party does not expose the evil of the CCP completely when I discussed the matter with him.

He owns some factories in China as well as abroad and also has sales agencies across several American cities. He once received some truth clarification materials and the book The Nine Commentaries from a Falun Gong practitioner at the Vancouver International Airport.

His grandfather was labeled as a member of the capitalist class during the Cultural Revolution and he has never been sure if his grandfather, grandmother or his mother had committed suicide (as was common for the Capitalist class during that time).

As a result his life was spent wandering through the village with nobody to look after him. He was not a party member and I was not sure if he had joined the Communist Youth League (CYL) or the Communist Young Pioneers (CYP). I did not ask him about that, and I plan to ask him to withdraw from any organizations affiliated with the CCP when I get a chance.

One time, I was having lunch with a young man in the cafeteria and I shared my experiences in practicing Falun Gong and told him about the necessity of quitting the CCP. He told me that he once received some truth clarification materials about Falun Gong via email.

He had graduated from a famous university located in western China and learned the technology to break through the CCP Internet blockade. He was familiar with the corrupt dictatorship of the CCP and hoped to have a bright future after withdrawing. Thus, he agreed to withdraw from the CYL and CYP.

A young teacher, my advisor, is very successful at his work and is also rather conceited. I often told him the truth about Falun Gong and introduced The Nine Commentaries to him, but he would never finish the book. He would refer to the CCP as ’tu gong‘, i.e. ’Bandit Communist Party' with contempt in his voice. The office director, who is also the party branch secretary, continually asked this teacher to join the party. He had always rejected his requests.

Please read Part One and Part Two of this article.

When I advised him to withdraw from the CYL and CYP, however, he refused to do so. I thought maybe he was just rather conceited, so I gave him the software to break through the CCP Internet blockade and wished him to post his withdrawal statement by himself.

I once told a young man who is currently working on his masters degree about quitting the CCP. Under the pressure of the work assignment he would receive after graduation, he had wished to join the party. If he were a party member, he would be more likely to get assigned to work in Shanghai by his future work unit. Under the influence of atheism spread by the CCP, he did not believe in the slogan of “Heaven will Eliminate the CCP,” nor did he believe in saving himself by quitting the CCP. Because of this he has not yet withdrawn from the CCP.

Former Classmates

At my college reunion’s tenth anniversary, I tried to persuade my classmates to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

While my classmates were playing cards and fishing at the pavilion in the local park, I introduced The Nine Commentaries to them and most of them agreed with me. Though their social positions were not inferior, they were dissatisfied with the realities of contemporary society.

Most classmates, even though they are party members, still think the CCP is hopeless. Recently, one of the park staff approached me and was trying to fish for information, so I did not continue to discuss The Nine Commentaries for safety reasons.

During the two days of the reunion, I took my chances with advising my classmates to quit the CCP in private. As time was limited, several classmates did not commit themselves. Only one classmate agreed to withdraw from the CCP under an alias. Lately, I have tried to persuade another classmate to quit the CCP over the internet and also sent her a copy of The Nine Commentaries, however she was afraid and asked me to not talk about anything related to quitting the CCP.

While advising my relatives and friends to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations, I noticed that it was easy for some but difficult for others. Some people agreed to declare their statements of withdrawal after only a few remarks. However, some others have become estranged with me. I heartily rejoice for the withdrawal of my friends because they have chosen bright futures for themselves.

I personally have only advised my relatives and friends to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. I know there are some other Falun Gong practitioners who persuade the people they meet every day, including strangers and shopkeepers to quit the CCP. They optimize the opportunities for encouraging people to quit the CCP when they are visiting relatives during festival holidays or when they are shopping. They try to advise strangers to quit the CCP through either a few words or a long talk depending on the situation.

Through a slow accumulation, a lot of people have quit the CCP with their help. When I compare myself to them, I feel really small. How many people like us are advising people behind the scenes to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations in China? Fortunately for us, we have access to the Internet outside the CCP Internet firewall while most Chinese Falun Gong practitioners can’t for lack of economical and technical support.

Recently I heard a story about one ordinary person who encouraged 500 people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations during the snow disaster after he withdrew from the CCP with the help of one Falun Gong practitioner. I really wonder how many similar stories like this happen across China.

If everybody could keep cool headed and judge what the CCP has done to the Chinese people during the last half century from the perspective of the people’s interests and justice, and rationally analyze the history of the Communist Party across the world, he would clearly realize the evil nature of the CCP. It would then be easy for each Chinese person to choose a bright future through quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
