UPDATE: In Arizona, a Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office employee has died after he was shot in his driveway Thursday morning.
The police have no leads or motives in mind, Sgt. Trent Crump said.
“It’s really a whodunit,” Crump said.
The employee who died was a detention officer.

Getting ready for work on Thursday morning, an employee for the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office in Arizona was shot in his driveway and was critically wounded.
Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump told the AZ Daily Sun that a person was scene running from the area after the shots. “It is an extremely critical injury,” Crump told the Associated Press. Authorities have said a press conference will be held Thursday afternoon with further details.
Several people were questioned, but none arrested, Crump told the Sun. Police set up a perimeter around several blocks.
