April McConnell, an assistant district attorney in Fulton County, GA was shot by her husband Tranard McConnell on Friday.
Tranard was later found dead at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens cemetery.
April graduated from Emory University Law School and filed for divorce from Tranard on Monday.
She’s in critical condition at Grady Memorial Hospital, reported Fox.
She married Tranard in 2011; Tranard was a former employee at Morehouse College and was later a human resources manager with PVH, a global clothing company.
The circumstances surrounding Tranard’s death are not yet clear.
Atlanta police said that the shooting happened on the 2300 block of Fairway Circle around 11 a.m.
Another victim who hasn’t been identified was also hit by bullets.
