House of Cards star Corey Stoll could feature in Marvel’s Ant-Man.

The 38-year-old actor, who plays Rep. Peter Russo in the Netflix hit political drama, is currently in negotiations with Marvel Studios for an undisclosed role in the superhero film.

Patrick Wilson, Evangeline Lily, and Michael Pena are also in talks for the film.

Paul Rudd is set to play Scott Lang, the person who becomes the titular hero, while Michael Douglas will play Dr. Hank Pym, the scientist who invents Ant-Man’s technology.

In the comics, Hank Pym is an original Avenger and also the original Ant-Man. Pym too invented Ultron, the robot villain, in the comics. The film version, however, is a stand-alone from Marvel’s upcoming The Avengers: Age of Ultron universe.

Pym became Ant-Man after he invented a shrinking serum that allows him to sneak around surprise foes.

Scott Lang is actually the second Ant-Man, and was once a thief.

Ant-Man will be directed by Edgar Wright, and production should start in June 2014.

Ant-Man is scheduled to open in theaters July 17, 2015.
