HTC has started to push out its Android KitKat 4.4.3 update to the HTC One M8 and HTC One M7.

Google released two updates for its Android phone last month, namely, the Android KitKat 4.4.3 and the Android KitKat 4.4.4.

The Android KitKat 4.4.3 patch fixed numerous bugs present in Android KitKat 4.4.2, while Android KitKat 4.4.4 provided a vital security patch for an OpenSSL vulnerability.

Motorola and Sony have opted to provide Android KitKat 4.4.3 fixes via Android KitKat 4.4.4, but HTC is sticking with Android KitKat 4.4.3 for its flagship phones, the HTC One M8 and HTC One M7.

Presently, the only manufacturer that has been keeping quiet about an Android KitKat 4.4.3 or 4.4.4 update is Samsung. The Korean tech giants have retained Android KitKat 4.4.2 on their devices, and despite several rumors, there is no official word yet from Samsung that they ever intend to release the latest Android software.

In the United States, mobile phone carrier Sprint has already rolled out the HTC Android KitKat 4.4.3 update. HTC confirmed that the update will be released for T-Mobile HTC One M8 users by the end of this week, and AT&T will get their update around mid-August.

Verizon has yet to announced a release date for both the HTC One M8 and HTC One M7 Android KitKat 4.4.3 update.

In Australia, Vodafone Australia has scheduled testing for the Android KitKat 4.4.3 for both smartphones, and could be rolling out the updates shortly.
