Police in Syracuse, NY, say they’ve found a body they believe to be a toddler who went missing.

Maddox Lawrence, 21 months old, went missing on Saturday.

After days of searching, police pulled a body out of the water near Inner Harbor and told CNY Central they believe it is Maddox. Dive teams had been searching the water while officers searched around the harbor.

After the news was announced, a memorial was started along the creek walk by community members.

And a few hours later, the Amber Alert for Maddox was canceled.

But ahead of a 3:30 p.m. press conference, the suspected death has not been confirmed.

Meanwhile, Maddox’s father Ryan Lawrence, who allegedly took the toddler from the family’s home on Saturday night and later left his wife a message indicating he might harm himself and the girl, was taken into custody, reported TWC

Lawrence was supposed to pick up his wife at Destiny USA Saturday, but instead texted her the message and left the car in the mall parking lot with the keys inside.
