Adele made a dream come true for a 12-year-old terminally ill fan in Belfast, Northern Ireland, when she made a surprise visit.

The girl, Rebecca Gibney, has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and is unable to walk or talk. Her mother Tracy Gibney wrote in a petition that Rebecca listens to Adele from the moment she wakes up in the morning until she goes to sleep.

I am so blessed and thankful that Adele came to my home today.

In the petition the mother asked for help to have her daughter meet the Grammy Award winning artist. “It would be her dream come true, please please help for my beautiful sick little daughter,” she wrote.

Tracy told the BBC that “It’s amazing. I’ll never forget it. And I do know that when Rebecca passes away she did get her dream come true.”

Tracy said she received a phone call from Adele’s manager while at the hairdresser telling her that they would come visit within the hour.

According to her mother, Rebecca’s doctors told her last year she has only six months to live. She also said that recently she has become bedridden.

Adele also invited Tracy and her other daughter to attend one of her concerts in Belfast.
