The 38th Asian American International Film Festival 2015 (AAIFF15) will be held in New York July 23 - August 1. Presented by Asian Cinevision, AAIFF annually showcase the best independent cinema by Asian and Asian Americans along with panel discussions, special events, screenplay competition readings, gala receptions and after parties.

This year’s Opening, Centerpiece and Closing night Premieres are MY VOICE, MY LIFE, directed by Ruby Yang at Asia Society, New York, Thursday, July 23, 7:00PM; SEOUL SEARCHING, by award-winning Korean American filmmaker Benson Lee at Cinema Village East, Saturday, July 25, 7:30PM; and EVERYTHING BEFORE US, directed by Philip Wang and Wesley Chan at the Museum of the Moving Image, Saturday, August 1, 8:00PM.

Maria Esteves pursued her passion as a photographer and writer in the arts in the aftermath of 9/11. It has led to cover interviews, awards ceremonies, film reviews, celebrity photos and videos in fashion, film, music and technology. This native New Yorker has spoken with Award-winning recording artists such as Randy Jones to filmmakers like Greg Pak and Todd Haynes, Academy Award-winners Murray Lerner, to fashion designer Mara Hoffman, and actresses such as Celia Weston.
