Irvine Mid-Autumn Festival
The City of Irvine is hosting a Mid-Autumn Festival at the Great Park. The Mid-Autumn Festival is a community-oriented, cultural festival with thousands of years of history—also known as the Moon or Mooncake Festival. The festival is hosted by the city and the South Coast Chinese Cultural Center, featuring live music, dance performances, and cultural exhibits. This traditional holiday is celebrated by thousands in East and Southeast Asian communities and is considered the second-most important holiday after Lunar New Year.

Fountain Valley Moon Festival
In celebration of the same culturally significant holiday, the Orange County 2022 Moon Festival will be held at Mile Square Regional Park on Saturday—the traditional day to hold the festival this year. There will be free moon cakes, free lanterns, live entertainment, food vendors, balloon animals, and face painting. This year’s festival is hosted by OC Parks and CalOptima.

Falun Dafa Meditation
Join a free meditation exercise workshop on the beach. Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, is an advanced Buddhist self-cultivation practice based on the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance. TJ Miller at Brea Improv
Comedian T.J. Miller will be in town all weekend performing at the Brea Improv center. The 15-year veteran comedian may be recognized from his work in Hollywood as a voice actor for the Emoji Movie, Big Hero 6, multiple How to Train Your Dragon movies, Deadpool, one of the Ice Age movies, and the sitcom Silicon Valley.

Discover Upper Newport Bay Kayak Tour
The Newport Bay Conservancy is hosting group kayak tours guided by certified volunteer naturalists in the ecological reserve of Upper Newport Bay. Huntington Beach Scavenger Hunts
There will be three different scavenger hunt events open for 11 hours in Huntington Beach. These interactive scavenger hunts combine the fun of a race with a sightseeing tour of Huntington Beach. Guided by their smartphones, participants will solve clues and complete challenges while visiting iconic spots. Participants can determine their own pace for the game and start whenever they want during the 11-hour time windows.
