50 Cent Mocks Teen With Disabilities in Airport. People Aren’t Happy

Rapper 50 Cent posted a video to his social media pages that had many people up in arms.

As he was walking through the CVG airport in Cincinnati, he taunted a janitor that he thought was high on the job.

However, it turned out that the janitor, Andrew Ferrell, has Asperger’s Syndrome—a form of Autism—a hearing problem, and suffers from social anxiety.

50 Cent, born Curtis Jackson, said, “Look at him. What kind of [drugs] you think he took when he got to work today. He high as a [expletive] right in the airport.” He was trying to make a point about younger generations acting “crazy.” He said that the man’s pupils were “dilated and everything.”

He has since taken the video down.

His stepfather, Andrew Kramer, told Local 12 News: “You come up and you start talking to some kid that you know nothing about, that’s not fair. That’s a slap in the face. Here’s a guy who people look up to, and he’s going to act like that?”

Ferrell’s mother Amanda added, “Personally, I think the guy was mad. Andrew didn’t know who he was right away, and he ignored him and he did his job and went about his business. I think he was mad and offended because somebody wasn’t flocking to him.”

For his part, Andrew said that he’s a “hard worker” and he doesn’t “do drugs”

Now, his family wants an apology.

He has yet to make a public comment about the video.
