The 41st Annual 2014 New York Village Halloween Parade with Grand Marshal award winning (Oscar, Grammy, Tony, Emmy) elite artist Whoopi Goldberg commenced Friday, October 31, 7:00pm up on Avenue of the Americas (6th Avenue) at Spring Street to 16th Street. Presented by Village Halloween Parade artistic and producing director Jeanne Fleming, this year’s theme The Garden of Earthly Delights, a celebration of Joy for All debuted La Calaca Festival participants from San Miguel Del Allende, Mexico, with Dia De Muertos (Day of the Dead) commemoration float to recently deceased celebrities.
The parade showcased over 50 marching bands; hundreds of giant puppets; thousands of costumed parade participants, parade dancers and spectators. Dignitaries, celebrities and industry executives in attendance included New York City police commissioner Bill Bratton, lawyer/TV personality Rikki Klieman, president Tom Burnet of Freixenet America, actress/singer Zoë Isabella Kravitz, LOLAWOLF, film producer Tom Leonardis, Moms Mabley, Miss Universe Gabriela Isler and Miss USA Nia Sanchez. The official New York Village Halloween Parade after party at the historical iconic Webster Hall, NYC, immediately followed.
