In 2022 Genesis G80 adds a 3.5T Sport model to the lineup. This Sport model is motivated by a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine punching out 375 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque. The power is carried to the wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission and AWD. Electronically Controlled Suspension (ECS) and Drive Mode Select are part of the driving package.

You can add a Prestige package that brings 20-inch alloy wheels, Nappa leather seating surfaces, carbon fiber trim pieces, and more.

The mileage for this twin-turbo Genesis sport sedan is rated at 17 mpg city and 26 mpg highway, for a combined average of 20 mpg.

The exterior of the Sport model is made distinct with the Sport Appearance additions that include reworked front and rear bumpers to complement its enhanced agility and handling.

Inside, the three-spoked sport steering wheel, carbon fiber dashboard trim, plus leather seating surfaces are accompanied by 12-way power front seats with power bolster and cushion extension for the driver, making for a comfortable and luxurious ride.

Amenities such as rearview camera with dynamic guidelines and electrochromic (EC) inside mirror with HomeLink garage door remote, plus 3-Zone Climate add to the safety and comfort of the ride.

Through the 14.5-inch screen on top of the dashboard, you receive Premium Navigation along with AM/FM/HD radio and SiriusXM Satellite Radio. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support extends the functions and connectivity. This infotainment system can be manipulated via a circular controller on the center console as well as voice commands and buttons on the steering wheel.

21-speaker Lexicon Premium Audio adds to the quality of the interior environment.

Genesis is an industry leader in advanced safety technology, best exemplified by the elaborate Forward Collision Avoidance-Assist with Pedestrian & Cyclist, Lane Oncoming, Junction Turning, Crossing, Lane Side, and Evasive Steering Torque Assist. Other remarkable assistance tech include Safety Exit Assist, Surround View Monitor, and Blind Spot View Monitor. They complement the more standard safety features like Lane Following Assist, Driver Attention Warning, and Lane Keep Assist.

Genesis G80 scored a perfect 5-star in NHTSA’s Overall Safety Rating and all categories, except for the Front Driver Side test which it received a 4-star score. It scored 5 stars even for the rollover test.

The MSRP for the G80 3.5T AWD Sport is $63,450. A Prestige with Summer Tires Package adds $6,800. Other than the above-mentioned additions, it adds nice features like Remote Smart Parking Assist, Forward Attention Warning, Active Noise Control – Road, and 12.3-inch 3D Digital Instrument Cluster, just to name a few.
