The LS F Sport is a daring and unreserved vehicle that takes driving to a new level. Get personally involved by using paddle shifters, and assault the road with sport-tuned suspension, while coming to a precision halt with Brembo Brakes.

The LS F Sport is engineered to bring the driver into the exhilarating experience with a car that has topnotch performance features.

On rear wheel drive models, the exclusive Torsen(R) torque-sensing limited-slip rear differential automatically reacts instantly, adjusting power distribution to the right and left wheels to help improve traction and stability during cornering without interrupting the power flow. Meanwhile, downshift rev-matching allows more smooth and precise shifting (RWD only).

The F Sport is easily identifiable by its aggressive styling cues, which include a signature grille, genuine aluminum interior trim, and strong yet light 19-inch split 10-spoke forged-alloy wheels with summer tires. F Sport has a specialized front bumper, upper and lower grille inserts and LED foglamps.

Inside, the F Sport has black leather with white perforations, bolstered front seats with embossed head rests, and black Alcantara headliners. Aluminum pedal and interior trim and an F Sport steering wheel are additional accoutrements.

The cabin mood is set by the remarkable Mark Levinson audio system (optional) with a single DVD/CD player and 450-watts of power for the 19 speakers, which together make your think you are in a concert hall.

The F Sport carries over a whole host of safety features found on the LS 460 sedan model, such as auto-leveling and dual-swivel Adaptive Front Lighting System, Smart Stop Technology, Brake Assist, and Intuitive Park Assist. Remote Touch and a navigation system with a high resolution 12.3-inch screen are also standard across the line. The Remote Touch device functions similarly to a computer mouse, providing the driver and front seat passenger with convenient access to a range of features. Just touch the menu button and select options like navigation, radio, nav traffic, or nav weather. For example, selecting radio will take you to AM and FM stations or satellite radio.

For performance, the F Sport has the 4.6 liter V8 engine with electronically controlled intake valve timing and dual fuel injection system, putting down 386 horses and 367 lb.-ft. of torque. This is mated to an 8-speed sequential automatic transmission. The EPA is 16 mpg city and 24 highway. My week of driving netted me 17 mpg.

The manufacturer’s suggested price is $71,990 for the base LS 460 RWD. Adding the $13,230 F Sport package automatically includes additional items like LED headlamps with intelligent high-beams, Mark Levinson Audio, headlamp washers, windshield-wiper de-icer, and enhanced interior heater. Another $14,159 F Sport package further adds Blind Spot Monitor and paint protection film on top.

Driving the F Sport was like sitting in the front of a rocket. It had the torque and hefty precision of a traditional muscle car, yet exhibits the fashion, sophistication, comfort and technology of a more modern sports car.

From the driver’s seat, all the power, entertainment options, and steering wheel-laden choices are just inches way. The F Sport payload (0-60 mph in 5.4 seconds) is ready for you.
