Two young girls abducted by a man in Kansas have been found safe, but the man has not been caught.

Police in Wichita said that the girls were taken from a hotel early on Wednesday, Feb. 17, around 1 a.m., by their father David Hatcher.

Layla, 5, was only wearing underwear, and Lilly, 2, was only wearing a diaper when taken. Hatcher abducted them after getting into an argument with the girl’s mother, his girlfriend.

The girls were found about 10 hours later at a house at 12th and Glendale, police told the Wichita Eagle.

Hatcher was described by authorities as standing 5'9", weighing 160 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

Hatcher, who was wearing black jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt, and black shoes, is believed to be armed. He may be in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area, where he has family.

If anyone sees Hatcher or has information on his whereabouts, they’re urged to call 911 or the Wichita police.
