New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg hosted a fashion award gala and fund raising event for NYC & Company Foundation, a nonprofit cultural tourism organization. The event took place at the Plaza Hotel in New York on Dec. 1.
According to the event’s press release, scores of New York’s fashion industry heavyweights and celebrities brought buzz and electricity to the event. Those attending included Donna Karan, Tommy Hilfiger, Jason Wu, Francisco Costa, Tory Burch, Art Ortenberg, Steve Sadove, and Vera Wang, among others.
Macy’s CEO Terry Lundgren, Council of Fashion Designers of America President Diane von Furstenberg, and Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour were honored with awards at the event.
