The governor presents legislation that would put insurers’ rate requests on a quicker timeline as they cope with higher payouts from wildfires and floods.
The panel said disbarment is needed to protect the public, courts, and legal profession, and also to ‘deter’ other lawyers from launching similar claims.
Property owners with 15 or fewer units are excluded. The revised bill also requires prospective tenants to give 72-hour notice that they plan to keep a pet.
‘The best way to avoid further conflict is to be ready. Today’s security challenges demand a generational investment to revitalize our armed forces,’ he wrote.
