LOS ANGELES—”I think it’s great. I think it’s a cultural experience,” said Spanish film producer Ignacio Andreu after seeing Shen Yun Performing Arts at the Dorothy Chandler on Jan. 27.

Mr. Andreu was particularly moved by the educational experience Shen Yun provided him: “The Chinese culture is really interesting,” he said.

He was learning from each dance piece, he added.

Based in New York, Shen Yun is the world’s premier classical Chinese dance and music company which aims to revive China’s five millennia-old culture.

Mr. Andreu said he appreciated learning more about the culture of the far East. The Asian culture “has influenced the rest of the world in many ways historically,” he said. “It’s going to influence the world in the future…We have a lot to learn from it.”

Mr. Andreu also added that he was impressed with the spiritual aspect of the show and seeing the spirituality in the Chinese culture through the performance.

New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts has three touring companies that perform simultaneously around the world. Look for Shen Yun Performances in Jacksonville , Florida and Washingto D.C. starting on Jan 29.  For more information, visit ShenYunPerformingArts.org
