Rustic Charm. An increasingly popular style in particular for do-it-yourself weddings, incorporating natural elements such as wood, wildflowers, fruits, and eclectic pots and jars. (Courtesy of www.feteny.com.au)
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate enough to have attended countless events, from major sporting meets to intimate soirées.
I will admit that being part of the industry somewhat distorts your opinion of what makes an unforgettable event. Tactile invitations delivered by courier, celebrity-chef-designed menus, and out-of-the box themes and entertainment have now become mandatory details for me to even raise an eyebrow.
Having said that, there is still nothing more special or emotive than experiencing the weddings of my nearest and dearest family and friends.
Just like a fairytale ending, for those who have found the love of their lives, celebrating their marriage is the event of a lifetime.
Out of the many different exciting elements to consider when piecing together a dream wedding, my favorite component is most definitely the styling and décor. The possibilities are endless; however, with so many options to choose from it is sometimes hard to know where to start.
To help you along, here are a few useful references to get your imagination into gear. The following websites are some of my favorite inspirational styling sites and blogs, showcasing a myriad of real weddings, styled photo shoots, and DIY ideas.
