Michael Jordan marriage plans are apparently being set. It was reported Thursday that the former NBA superstar filed for a marriage application in Florida with his girlfriend.
Michael Jordan, the former Chicago Bulls superstar, six-time NBA champion, and owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, appeared at a courthouse in Palm Beach County on Thursday morning to apply for a marriage license, reported The Associated Press, citing clerk office spokeswoman Kathy Burstein.
A marriage license applicant has to apply for the license in person. The identity of the woman he is seeking to web was not identified in the news agency’s report.
But celebrity news website TMZ reported that Jordan was spotted alongside Yvette Prieto, his longtime girlfriend, at the counter of the courthouse. They also filled out the paperwork together.
The two will get married on April 27, the website said.
Jordan and Prieto, a Cuban-American model, got engaged in December 2011, AP reported.
The Palm Beach Post reported that he applied for the license at the West Palm Beach courthouse.
