Zsa Zsa Gabor Has Successful Hip Replacement

Zsa Zsa Gabor, Hungarian-America Hollywood beauty from the 1950s, had a hip replaced after falling from her bed.

Zsa Zsa Gabor, Hungarian-America Hollywood beauty from the 1950s, successfully had her hip replaced, after the purportedly 93-year-old actress fell from her bed on Saturday.

Paralyzed after a car accident in 2002, Gabor has had to use a wheelchair ever since. The fall was just bad luck, the actress´s current husband Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt told the Associated Press.

“When my wife smiles it means she is doing ok. She would give me that sign. The doctor was very happy to see her like that and she did not complain, she did not do anything, she just smiled,” said von Anhalt.

“Everyone is happy and I am sure she is going to feel good. She’s a big fighter, she is an Hungarian fighter.”

The operation took three and a half hours on Monday. Zsa Zsa Gabor is expected to remain in the hospital for a few more days before she can be released.

Constance Hilton, Gabor´s daughter from a previous marriage with the founder of the Hilton hotels, thinks her mother will recover in due course.

“My biggest concern is hospital infections. Thank you for all of your calls and concerns,” Hilton said in a statement, according to Reuters.
