Zayn Malik has made his real, official Instagram profile public on July 15.
Now the photos that many have longed to see are available for perusal and analysis. And many people have noticed. One Direction is a famous group and many of its members are followed religiously by thousands if not millions of fans.
The hashtag “#THANKSZAYNFORMAKINGYOURIGPUBLIC” started trending hard after Malik made his move.
Mailik, 21, is perhaps one of the more famous members of the group, drawing interest for being engaged to Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards, and supporting famous soccer (football) club Manchester United.
Along with three other members of the band--Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson--Malik is from England.
The fifth member, Niall Horan, is from the republic of Ireland.
Malik’s follower count has exploded after making his Instagram public, with over one million followers.
The photos show him in a range of settings, enjoying home life and public life, and hanging out with Edwards.
Some photos show him on stage or in other settings with his bandmates.
People on Twitter thanked Malik for making the account public.
“Finally!” said one.
“Opening Zayns instagram for the first time...” said another.
Many simply tweeted the hashtag.
