Zayn Malik of One Direction has broken his weeks-long Twitter silence to thank fans for sending him birthday messages.

His 21st birthday was on January 12.

Malik celebrated at Disneyland Paris with fiancee Perrie Edwards last week before hosting a party at his house.

Besides tens if not hundreds of thousands of messages coming from fans, Malik received birthday wishes from his bandmates and others in their circle on Twitter.

Niall Horan tweeted “Happy 21st birthday to my brother @zaynmalik ! Love you Man!” and Greg Horan added “Happy 21st @zaynmalik hope u have a good one bro lots of love Greg,Denise and baby Theo x x.”

Harry Styles’ dad Des wrote, “Happy Birthday wishes from Jo and I to Mr Zayn Malik. Have a great day mate! See you soon.”

Malik finally posted a tweet, saying:

“Know it’s late but thankyou for everyone’s bday messages means a lot ! Big love x.”

Malik is followed by over 11.7 million people on Twitter. His tweet got over 167,900 retweets and more favorites.
