Zachary Adams denied being behind the kidnapping of Holly Bobo in Tennessee, who is believed to be dead.
Adams, 29, was indicted by a grand jury on Wednesday in the case.
Bobo, then 20, was kidnapped on April 13, 2011.
She was seen being led into the woods away from her Darden home by a man dressed in camouflage.
Prosecutors said that Bobo is likely dead.
State and federal officials returned to the area last week to conduct searches and interviews in the case, reported the Tennessean.
Adams was arrested on Friday on an unrelated aggravated assault charge.
Adams told the Jackson Sun that he’s “not the one” behind the kidnapping and suspected murder.
Despite the kidnapping happening three years ago, this is the first time that search warrants have been announced.
Officials didn’t elaborate on the investigation, including what they found on Adams’ property.
