YouTube apparently went down on Wednesday for a large number of users.

The popular website just showed a 502 error when users tried to access it. Some also got a 500 internal server error, with the typical message of “a team of highly trained monkeys has been dispatched to deal with this situation.”

The site appeared to go down just after 12:30 p.m. ET.

Website www.isitdownrightnow.com said YouTube was having problems.

It described the website as “unavailable” and said it “is currently under maintenance...”

Several Epoch Times staff members attempted to access YouTube, and it just gave an error message like the one seen above.

On Twitter, a large number of people reacted.

“YouTube is over,” one person tweeted.

Another wrote, “YouTube appears to be down.”

“Why is youtube down when i really need it!” another added.

On its Twitter page, YouTube didn’t have any updates about the service outage.
