Victor Adebodun, a director on “Coronation Street” and who worked extensively on the “Harry Potter” movies, died at age 33, according to reports.

The Express reported that Adebodun died earlier in April. His friend, Del, confirmed his death via GoFundMe, raising thousands of dollars.
“On Wednesday 11th April 2018 my world came crashing down as I received tragic news that my closest friend, my brother, Victor Adebodun had sadly passed away,” he wrote. “I feel sick to my stomach as I write this, tears in my eyes and pain in my heart,” he added. “Victor was more than a friend to me.”

“Victor was a part of my spirit and since I received the news I have felt lost, devastated and heartbroken.”

He was also involved in other productions, including “Narnia,” “G.I. Joe,” “Skyfall,” as well as Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus.”

“Victor would be calling my mum and sitting with her every day to make sure she was OK and to make sure she saw a male figure like me every day and most importantly, he would make sure finances and the arrangements for my funeral were covered,” his friend added. “I know that Vic would not only do this for me but for any one of his close friends, because that is the guy he was, full of genuine love and positive energy.”

He said that any funds raised through the website would go towards helping his daughter.

As of April 18, £16,380 ($23,270.69) has been raised for his family on the site.

Other details about his death were not revealed.
