Yohji Yamamoto showed his men’s collection in Tokyo for the first time in 19 years, after relocating his headquarters to Paris. The fashion show was viewed by more than 3,000 people at Tokyo’s Yoyogi National Stadium during Tokyo Fashion Week.
Yohji Yamamoto is known for flowing designs that ignore current trends and call upon both traditional Japanese and Western references. His clothing designs favor draping the body in a rectangular shape, similar to the form of a kimono.
