The script for “XXX 3: The Return of Xander Cage” is almost done, but a release date hasn’t been released yet.
Vin Diesel, one of the bigger stars in action movies, has been making it big in the ongoing “Fast & Furious” franchise and the “Riddick” series.
Now Diesel said that the script for XXX 3 is almost done.
“The new ‘XXX’ script finally comes in next month… and just this morning people are suggesting Katy Perry as the new X girl,” he told fans via Facebook, noting that he was smiling.
“P.s. Who would you like to see me work with this year?” he asked.
The first XXX film came out in 2002 and made a lot of money.
It followed an extreme sports enthusiast who turned into a spy.
The sequel “XXX: The State of the Union,” also featuring Ice Cube, didn’t do so well. It came out in 2005.
The third film in the series has been in the works for five years.
The film’s preliminary description is: “Xander Cage is left for dead after an incident, though he secretly returns to action for a new, tough assignment with his handler Augustus Gibbons.”
