August 18, 2020 Updated: August 19, 2020

China’s Xinjiang region has reported more new cases of the CCP virus than any other province in the past month. The capital city Urumqi was immediately locked down after authorities announced the first diagnosed patient in the new outbreak on July 16.

Residents who went out breaking the lockdown rules were subjected to physical punishment, such as standing for hours under the sun.
