On August 12, at a security checkpoint in Yamanya Town of Shule county in the Xinjiang Uyghur autonomous region, three security officers are reported to have been killed in an attack.

According to a report in the regime mouthpiece Xinhua, an unknown number of assailants jumped off a vehicle passing the checkpoint and stabbed four public security officers, leaving three dead and one injured.

This the third attack reported by Xinhua in Xinjiang Province in August.

The attackers are said to be at large, but local police have issued a wanted circular.

Xinjiang Province is the home of mostly Muslim Uyghur minority, whom the Chinese regime accuses of harboring terrorists.
