Free Tibet protested at the front of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel as president Xi Jinping left out of the back entrance. The area was blocked off when he left. The park was also cleared of any onlookers opposite the hotel. Police were adamant that it was a "a sterile area" (Si Gross/Epoch Times)
