The Xbox Games With Gold list for December has been announced.
Microsoft announced that subscribers will get Worms Battleground, an artillery-based game of annelid annihilation, for Xbox One for free through the program.
“The latest game in the Worms series is bigger, badder, and filled with more weapons and abilities than ever before. Your job is to command an army of weaponized worms against a rival force, using the arsenal at your disposal. You aim shots – and then gravity, wind, the type of weapon you’re using, the enemy’s defenses, and a whole bunch of other factors determine whether you hit, and how much damage you inflict,” according to Xbox Wire.
“Terrain is deformable, and worms are surprisingly hardy, so beware the consequences of an errant or hastily placed shot.”
Xbox 360 owners will get two choices.
The Raven: Legacy of the Master Thief will be available from December 1 through December 15. The game places players in a graphic adventure set in the 1960s, on the trail of a dapper art thief known as the Raven.
The second half of the month will feature EA’s reboot of the SSX arcade game.
Users should claim the games from the November list before they expire, if they wish. Those are Volgarr the Viking for Xbox One and Red Faction Guerilla for Xbox 360.
Meanwhile, this week’s Deals With Gold, which are also valid through December 1, include a number of discounts.
A number of Xbox One games, including Rayman Legends, Strider, Peggle 2, and Angry Birds Star Wars have a discount of 50 percent or more.
Xbox 360 deals include the Amazing Spiderman 2, Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, and Resident Evil 4.
