In under an hour, the Apple World Wide Developers Conference will start at the Moscone West Convention Center in San Francisco.

It will be a chance for Apple to demonstrate and display many of their newest gadgets and software in a bid to win more ground in the fight for mobile media and computing territory and impress the tech savvy world.

The prime line-up at the conference will include the obscure and unknown iCloud and the latest iterations of the operating systems that run the iPhone, iPad, and Mac PCs, namely the iOS 5 and OS X Lion.

The Apple website has provided vague details as to the product attributes of the iCloud and iOS 5.

The iCloud will be a new software service that will allow owners of Apple products to stream all data from their virtual libraries stored on Apple’s servers to their devices without needing to directly connect to a computer.

Apple is expected to offer iCloud for free to its iTunes customers for a short period of time once it is introduced.

The iOS 5 will be the next level of what Apple touts as the most advanced mobile platform in the world. Its new features will likely include a voice recognition system, wireless syncing, and more accommodation for social networking.

Rumors have circulated that it will also add Widgets, similar to those on Android-powered phones, and a new or at least improved notifications system.

The new OS X Lion will also be a huge part of the show. Lion will integrate and implement a lot of the features of the iPad like the app store and a Launchpad for iPad style apps and full-screen apps.

The Lion will also feature a Mission Control screen which will allow a user to organize and keep track of all running processes and apps, accessed easily by a swipe of the mouse or through iPad-like gestures and animations on the touchpad.

Lion will add many new features related to document work like auto save, versions, shutdown-restart resume, and Mail 5 akin to its counterpart on iPad.

The Lion will improve overall on the existing Mac system with many new upgrades to security, file sharing, and servers among other things.

The conference will begin on Monday at 1pm Eastern and will run until June 10.
