Just under 1,300 New Yorkers surveyed this November were asked whether they would invite Mayor Michael Bloomberg to Thanksgiving dinner.

Though the majority of the registered voters said no (56-42), it seems a lot more people would be willing to share their turkey feast with the mayor than in 2003 when 61-36 said they would not like to share the holiday with Bloomberg.

The survey was conducted by Quinnipiac University, “partly for fun, partly to see how close voters felt to Mayor Mike,” said Maurice Carroll, director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute in a statement. Voters differed from borough to borough with Manhattan being most welcoming to the mayor while the least in the Bronx.
