The wildfire near Peachland, B.C., that forced hundreds of residents to quickly evacuated their homes just days ago is no longer out of control.

The BC Wildfire service says the blaze is now considered as being held after aerial firefighting efforts yesterday were effective in cooling the fire, which is showing a slow-to-moderate spread.
