What’s Next Now That Parliament’s Major Projects Bill Has Passed?

With the Senate officially passing Bill C-5, also known as the One Canadian Economy Act, the Liberals have kept their election promise of passing legislation on major projects and interprovincial trade barriers before Canada Day on July 1.

However, the government is still a long way from approving these projects that are said to be in the national interest, and could face challenges from those opposed to them, ranging from environmental activists to provinces.
