UK nationals exceeding post-Brexit limits on how long they can spend in the EU have been warned they will be ‘automatically detected’ through a new border system coming into force this week.

Travel trade organisation Abta said enforcement of the limit of 90 days in a 180-day period has previously been widely ignored.
