President Donald Trump suggested on Nov. 16 that his administration may engage in talks with Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, amid growing tensions over heightened U.S. military presence in the Caribbean.
During a press gaggle in Palm Beach, Florida, Trump was asked about the U.S. designating the Venezuelan Cartel de los Soles—which U.S. State Secretary Marco Rubio alleged is led by Maduro and other high-ranking Venezuelan officials—as a foreign terrorist organization.
