Trump Says Gaza Aid Top US Priority, Defers to Israel on Military Plans
Trump told reporters that the United States has provided $60 million in food aid to Gaza.

President Donald Trump said on Aug. 5 that his primary focus in Gaza was delivering food aid to civilians, and that decisions about Israel’s potential military control of the enclave were a matter for the Israeli government.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump responded to a question about whether he would support an Israeli occupation of Gaza.
