Trump Gives Iran 3 Options to Deal With Uranium Stockpile as Peace Talks Advance

The president has said that the key aim of the U.S. military operation against Iran is to prevent Tehran from ever obtaining nuclear weapons.

U.S. President Donald Trump on May 25 laid out three possible paths for dealing with Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium, after insisting that Tehran will not be allowed to retain a pathway to a nuclear weapon as negotiations continue over a broader peace deal.

“The Enriched Uranium (Nuclear Dust!) will either be immediately turned over to the United States to be brought home and destroyed or, preferably, in conjunction and coordination with the Islamic Republic of Iran, destroyed in place or, at another acceptable location,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.
