President Donald Trump and Turkey’s president Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke on Feb. 15, just days after U.S. and Syrian government forces clashed in northeastern Syria, where Turkey’s government is conducting an operation to resettle thousands of Syrian refugees.

Trump discussed the conflicts in the region as he called for Russia to put an end to its support for the “atrocities” of the Syrian regime.
