Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s approach in recent months of making disparaging comments about individuals who refuse vaccination or who protest against mandatory vaccination could fuel extremism, former Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) director Richard Fadden told a House committee on May 12.
“I don’t think that attacking views is helpful by anybody—not by you, not by me, not by the prime minister,” said Fadden during a meeting of the Standing Committee on Public Safety examining the phenomena of ideologically motivated violent extremism.
