A bomb threat targeting a Sydney church screening exposing Beijing’s systematic organ harvesting has escalated with a second message threatening a mass shooting and bomb attack.
Both warnings were delivered through Eventbrite, the platform hosting registrations for the event.
The initial message demanded that organisers cancel the screening and sever ties with Falun Gong, or “a bomb will be detonated.”
But the second threat, received on Nov. 27, took an even darker turn, warning of plans to infiltrate the audience and “open fire” before detonating explosives.
“Since you insist on carrying out anti-Communist and inhumane activities, don’t blame us for taking action at a future screening,” reads Eventbrite’s message to the organisers.
“We will infiltrate as viewers, begin the screening, and suddenly open fire, killing everyone and throwing bombs into the crowd. This is not a joke.”
Eventbrite has notified local law enforcement in New South Wales, Australia, and shared details of the report, including the source information.

The local Campbelltown Police have searched the church grounds on Nov. 24 and found no immediate threat to the public. However, the police investigation has since intensified.
“The NSW Police Force takes hate crimes seriously … It is important that the community and police continue to work together to make NSW a safer place for everyone,” a NSW police spokesperson told The Epoch Times in an email.
Similar Pledges of Mass Shootings in Taiwan
While the sender of the threats is unclear, the pattern mirrors previous incidents linked to the CCP’s transnational repression efforts, which aim to intimidate dissidents abroad while undermining democratic freedoms. For instance, in Taiwan this year, government offices and hosting venues in multiple cities received at least 17 emails threatening explosions or mass shootings, aimed at stopping performances of Shen Yun, a New York-based arts group founded by Falun Gong practitioners to showcase classical Chinese dance and music from the era before the communist takeover.
Taiwan’s Criminal Investigation Bureau traced the emails to Xi’an, China, through a multi-agency investigation.
Organiser: Goodness Prevails Over Evil
Lucy Zhao, president of the Australian Falun Dafa Association, said she was shocked upon seeing the second threat message.“This is much more than just a Falun Gong case or Chinese human rights issue now. Such transnational repression is challenging and undermining Australian values, freedom, and fundamental rights,” she told The Epoch Times.
“If our government allows the CCP to continue bullying and intimidating Falun Gong practitioners today, the CCP may find its way to silence and intimidate any person or group they don’t like in the near future.
“We won’t be silenced and intimidated by the CCP. We are determined to continue exposing CCP crimes until such transnational repression and the persecution is stopped.”

Julia Yi, a Campbelltown-based Falun Gong practitioner who helped organise the screening, wants to apologise for the panic and unease to the parish.
“The church is meant to be a sacred place, a place of spiritual refuge. It is absolutely intolerable for evil to target such a place,” she told The Epoch Times in Chinese.
“I want to tell the good people in the local area that we are doing our best to communicate with the local police, government, and relevant departments. You are safe. We absolutely will not disappoint you.”
Yi also encourages local residents who have signed up for the event not to be terrified and to continue attending the screening.
“Goodness prevails over evil! I hope to see you join us in witnessing the power of faith and courage!”
