Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe says his government will ask voters to consider a full ban on social media for children younger than 16 after a national poll found three-quarters of Canadians support such a move.

An Angus Reid survey released on March 29 found that 75 percent of more than 4,000 respondents favour a ban like the one in Australia, where children younger than 16 are prevented from setting up accounts on platforms including TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, and Threads.
