Dominic Raab is playing a “vital” role as the new justice secretary, Downing Street said on Thursday, following Raab’s demotion from his previous job as foreign secretary.

In a cabinet reshuffle that started on Wednesday, Raab was the only minister who was replaced from the government’s four Great Offices of State.
