The Queensland Police Service (QPS) has refused a recommendation to implement diversity quotas for each rank, in response to a report aimed at improving equality in the force.

The Queensland Human Rights Commission’s (QHRC) report outlined 36 recommendations with many dealing with barriers for women, Indigenous, or culturally diverse individuals joining the state police force.
